PathFinder | Employer Brand

As the Creative Director of the the Pathfinder Employer Brand team, I led the visual strategy and built the messaging tone and voice of the brand in order to drive consistent, high-bar creative, which positively shifts perceptions and lands the right Software Developer with the best, most relevant position.

Enjoy the “Day in-the-Life” video series featured below | Through the Best Fit Job Match, the Software Developer candidate completes one application and is matched to roles based on their preferences. Once they pass the online assessment and interviews -- it’s their choice!

Best Fit Job Match Explainer Video

In an effort to simply explain how the Best Fit Job Match process works, I scripted and illustrated an animated explainer video. I worked closely with a motion designer and managed a team of 6 designers to bring this vision to life.

Here is a brief example of the static illustrated storyboards

Using content from the video series, I created various gifs tot help drive more traffic to the Amazon.jobs site, resulting in more applications and hires.

Amazon.jobs landing page

Using the qualitative and quantitative results from a series of discussion panels, I built the PathFinder (Best Fit Job Match) landing page to explain how the job match process works and encourage software developer to apply. I Managed the team of UX designers and built wireframes and components designs that were more intuitive for candidates to navigate. I directed internal engineers and strategized with the PathFinder marketing team to launch the site within an expected launch date. As a result of the new design and launch, Amazon saw an increase in software developer applications and hires.

PathFinder Diversity team and Employer Brand team is worked closely to launch a virtual networking event series titled: DeCoded. It’s a talent outreach and engagement asset focused on diverse candidates that offers them an opportunity to candidly connect with Amazon tech leaders and ask questions about innovation, culture, career and life of engineers at Amazon.

By attending these events, potential candidates will be able to “decode“ misconceptions about Amazon, the interviewing process and as a result help diversify PathFinder’s talent pipeline. For this series, the team built diverse panels included Black, Latino, and white tech leaders (with at-least 1 of these being a woman).

This was a new initiative for Amazon and I led the branding and visual marketing strategy for the event series. I manage the team of designer to build all marketing and creative assets through launch and post-launch outreach.
